Black Tafetta Heuchera-(Heuchera X Hybrid 'Black Tefetta') is a fast growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 4A through 9A. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 6 inches to 1 foot, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides shade, morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer Black Tafetta Heuchera-(Heuchera X Hybrid 'Black Tefetta') produces white flowers. The foliage is black and purple in color. It attracts visual attention and is resistant to deer, drought, insects, diseases and heat.
Black Tafetta Heuchera-(Heuchera X Hybrid 'Black Tefetta') can be useful in the landscape along woodland borders, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, under a shade tree, in landscape beds or islands, to accentuate entryways or in small groupings and also in theme gardens, cottage gardens, butterfly gardens, perennial gardens or shade gardens.
You've got to see 'Black Taffeta' Heuchera in person to fully appreciate its charm and elegance. Forms a mound of large, glossy, heavily ruffled, almost-black, silky leaves. Sprays of pink flowers rise above the foliage on short stems in summer. This plant has great vigor. In warm regions this is best in part to full shade.
