Glitter Heuchera-(Heuchera X Hybrid 'Glitter') is a fast growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 4A through 9B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 6 inches to 1 foot, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides shade, morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer Glitter Heuchera-(Heuchera X Hybrid 'Glitter') produces white flowers. The foliage is yellow, red and orange in color. It attracts visual attention and is resistant to deer, drought, insects, diseases and heat.
Glitter Heuchera-(Heuchera X Hybrid 'Glitter') can be useful in the landscape along woodland borders, in foundation plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, under a shade tree, in landscape beds or islands or in small groupings and also in theme gardens, cottage gardens, perennial gardens or shade gardens.
A Terra Nova Nurseries introduction in the Hollywood Glam™ series, the striking foliage of Glitter Heuchera is bright, shiny silver with contrasting black veins while the underside is soft violet. Sprays of fuchsia pink flowers appear atop thin stems through summer. Remove any winter-burned leaves in the spring, otherwise no pruning is required. Villosa parentage provides enhanced heat tolerance.
