Native to warm, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world, Celia Red Double is a tropical hibiscus that produces adundant, large, vibrant, gorgeous scarlet-red double flowers with ruffled petals. Celia is a vigorous growing, medium sized shrub or small tree that blooms over an extended period of time. Plant this one where the flowers can be enjoyed close up. Glossy, dark green leaves are an extra-added bonus.
Uses
Where hardy outdoors, Celia Double Red Hibiscus is useful as a colorful accent or specimen shrub to highlight entryways, as a hedge or screen, espalier to cover bare walls such as the spaces between windows, or in containers. Where not winter hardy, it can be used outdoors as an annual in beds or as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors or in a greenhouse when low temperatures drop below 55 degrees.
