More about Sundown Orange Bougainvillea...

Noteworthy Characteristics

‘Sundown Orange,’ is a heavy blooming Bougainvillea with flowers that open vivid orange, a color rare among these plants. As its flowers age they turn vivid coral, then fade to pink, providing a unique, tricolor appearance.

Uses

The applications for this particular variety are endless. Where hardy year-round outdoors, Sundown Orange Bougainvillea is useful as a climber to cover arbors, pergolas, fences, overhangs, walls and other structures, or can be used as a hedge. Where not winter hardy, it can be used outdoors as an annual in beds or as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors or in a greenhouse when low temperatures drop below 55 degrees.
