'Barbara Karst' is an especially popular Bougainvillea variety that produces large clusters of red flowers (papery bracts) repeatedly during summer and fall in warmer climates. A vigorous climber that can reach a height or length of up to 40 feet in its native habitat but can be maintained at much lower heights.
Uses
Where hardy outdoors, Barbara Karst Bougainvillea is useful as a perennial climber that grows up to 40 feet in height or length, perfect for covering arbors, pergolas, fences, entryways and opther overhead structures. Where not winter hardy, it can be used outdoors as an annual in beds or as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors when low temperatures drop below 55 degrees.
