Thuja Occidentalis 'Emerald Green' is a moderate growing shrub that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 2A through 8A. It matures to an average height of 12 feet to 15 feet and an average width of 3 feet to 4 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam or clay soil that is well drained. The foliage is dark green in color. Culture & Care Tips
Arborvitea prefer a well-drained soil and plenty of sunshine. When established they are exceptionally drought tolerant requiring little if any supplemental irrigation. No pruning is necesssary and we've seen no serious insect or disease problems.
