A 2013 All-America Selections winner, South Pacific Scarlet produces scarlet-orange flowers on sturdy stalks above deep green, upright foliage resembling banana leaves. The spectacular 4-inch flowers have yellow splashed throats. Cannas are ideal for creating a tropical look to the sunny areas of your garden, blooming throughout the summer and into the fall. They can be grown in containers as well, where they grow slightly shorter. Winter hardy to Zone 8, tubers can be winter-stored in a frost-free place in colder zones.
