Vaccinium Ashei 'Centurion' is a moderate growing shrub that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 7A through 8B. It matures to an average height of 5 feet to 8 feet and an average width of 4 feet to 8 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in loam soil that is well drained. In the spring Centurion Rabbiteye Blueberry produces white flowers. The foliage is blue green in color. It attracts wildlife, visual attention and songbirds / birds and is resistant to insects, diseases, mildew and heat.

Centurion Rabbiteye Blueberry can be useful in the landscape in shrub borders, in landscape beds or islands or as a hedge and also in cottage gardens.

More about 'Centurion' Rabbiteye Blueberry...

A 1978, North Carolina State University release, Centurion has a vigorous, very narrow, upright growth habit, with limited suckering of new growth. It is a late flowering, late season producer of medium size berries that are medium-dark blue in color, slightly less firm, with a good flavor. As a late flowering Rabbiteye variety, Centurion has demonstrated good resistance to frost/freeze damage.
