Gaura Lindheimeri 'Belleza Dark Pink' is a fast growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 5A through 10B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand or loam soil that is well drained. In the spring, summer and fall Dark Pink Gaura produces pink flowers. The foliage is burgundy and light green in color. It attracts butterflies and visual attention and is resistant to deer, drought, insects, diseases and heat.

Dark Pink Gaura can be useful in the landscape in mass plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, in landscape beds or islands or in small groupings and also in rock or xeriscape gardens, cottage gardens, butterfly gardens or perennial gardens.

These gaura did impressively well, given that I ordered them late in the season and then didn't get around to planting them until after a nasty heat wave. Several seem to be coming back the next spring, which these gaura often don't manage to do in Chicago.
