Vaccinium Corymbosum 'Biloxi' is a moderate growing shrub and fruit bearing plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 8A through 10B. It matures to an average height of 5 feet to 6 feet and an average width of 3 feet to 4 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in loam soil that is well drained. The foliage is blue green in color. It attracts visual attention and songbirds / birds and is resistant to insects, diseases and heat.

Biloxi Blueberry can be useful in the landscape in shrub borders, in landscape beds or islands or as a hedge and also in cottage gardens.

More about 'Biloxi' Southern Highbush Blueberry...

A 1998, MIssissippi State University - ARS/USDA release, Biloxi Southern Highbush blueberry has a vigorous, upright, spreading, and notably bushy growth habit. It is recommended for low to no chill areas (<150 hours), where it typically can be grown fully-evergreen. Biloxi is one of the earliest ripening Southern Highbush blueberries, and produces medium size fruit that is light blue in color, very firm, and has a small stem scar. Biloxi has a wonderful, distinct flavor, and is noted as one of the best tasting Southern Highbush varieties.
