Prunus Serrulata ' Kwanzan, Sekiyama, Sekizan' is a fast growing tree and fruit bearing plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 5A through 8B. It matures to an average height of 12 feet to 20 feet and an average width of 10 feet to 20 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun or morning sun with afternoon shade and grows best when planted in loam or clay soil that is well drained. In the spring Kwanzan Cherry produces pink, rose pink, bright pink, light pink and soft pink flowers. The foliage is red, light green, medium green and dark green in color.
