Additional Information About Sunbelt Grape

Vitis Labrusca 'Sunbelt' is a fast growing vining plant and fruit bearing plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 5A through 8B. It matures to an average height of 15 feet to 20 feet and an average width of 15 feet to 20 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the spring Sunbelt Grape produces white flowers. The foliage is medium green in color. It attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, wildlife, visual attention and songbirds / birds and is resistant to drought and heat.

Sunbelt Grape can be useful in the landscape as a climber and also in cottage gardens.

Considered the "Southern Concord" this grape has excellent sweet flavor like the Concord but does better and ripens more evenly in warmer climates. This grape also has excellent resistance to fungal diseases.
