More About Mini Kenilworth Ivy...

Mini Kenilworth Ivy, Cymbalaria aequitriloba, is a wonderful little filler plant with tiny scalloped green leaves that form a flat mat, studded by miniature, pretty mauve-purple snapdragon-like flowers in spring. The plants will spread and stems will root as they go along.

Mini Kenilworth Ivy is great for growing in the gaps between flagstones, to fill gaps around boulders in the garden pond, or in containers. As you can see in the picture to the right, it is also an ideal choice for growing in shady crevices, particularly on walls. In containers it is a good soil cover that almost looks like moss.

Mini Kenilworth Ivy is very easy to grow and maintain. It performs best in cool-summer regions and in hotter regions likes more shade. It prefers moist, well-drained soils but is very drought tolerant when established. It is evergreen in mild winter regions. It is not too happy in regions with high summer heat and humidity. Though it spreads fast it is very easy to maintain.
