Additional Information About Hemerocallis Purple De Oro Daylily

Purple De Oro Daylily is a moderate growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 3A through 9B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun, morning sun with afternoon shade or morning shade with afternoon sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained or moderately drained. In the summer Purple De Oro Daylily produces purple flowers. The foliage is medium green in color. It attracts butterflies and visual attention and is resistant to drought, insects, diseases, mildew and heat.

Purple De Oro Daylily can be useful in the landscape in mass plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, in landscape beds or islands, in small groupings or in medians and also in cottage gardens or perennial gardens.

More About Purple De Oro Daylily...

A cousin of the famous Stella De Oro, the Purple De Oro is a heavy reblooming daylily that produces an abundance of ruffled, dusty-purple flowers with lighter midribs, edges and gold throats that rise from compact clumps of arching, linear, blade-like leaves.
