Noteworthy Characteristics

Brunfelsia is native to the woodland areas of Brazil and is an evergreen tropical shrub growing 5- 8 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide. It features flowers that range in color from purple to lavender to white. With flowers that open purple, turning lavender on the second day, and finally to white on the third day Brunfelsia-Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow has earned it's name well. The leaves are about 4-6 inches in length with dark green on the top side and pale green on the under side. 

Uses

Where hardy outdoors, Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow is useful as a colorful accent or specimen shrub or filler in beds or borders, as a hedge, in foundation plantings, or in containers. Where not winter hardy, it can be used outdoors as an annual shrub in beds or as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors or moved into a greenhouse when low temperatures drop below 55 degrees.
