Viburnum Obovatum 'Whorled Class' is a moderate growing shrub that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 8A through 10B. It matures to an average height of 4 feet to 5 feet and an average width of 4 feet to 6 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun, morning sun with afternoon shade, morning shade with afternoon sun or filtered sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained or moderately drained. In the spring Whorled Class Viburnum produces white flowers. The foliage is medium green and dark green in color. It attracts butterflies, visual attention and songbirds / birds and is resistant to drought, insects, diseases, mildew and heat.

Whorled Class Viburnum can be useful in the landscape along woodland borders, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, in landscape beds or islands, to accentuate entryways, in small groupings or as a hedge and also in theme gardens, cottage gardens, butterfly gardens or perennial gardens.

Somewhat unknown, Walters Whorled Class is a tough, easy to grow compact shrub. It put's on a wonderful show of clusters of small white flowers in spring, followed by blueish-black berries that remain through fall and winter.
