More about Lemon Zest Abelia...
Lemon Zest is a new dwarf Abelia that sports some very attractive, colorful, variegated dark green, white and yellow foliage. It grows to only 2.5 to 3 feet in height with an equal to slightly larger spread. An abundance of fragrant, pale pink to white flowers are produced during summer and into fall. Has shown very good resistance to drought, insects, disease and deer. Butterflies and hummingbirds love the flowers!
It's dense, mounding habit make Lemon Zest Abelia a good selection for foundation plantings, around decks and patios, or in small to large groupings on slopes or in landscape beds and borders.
Plant Lemon Zest Abelia in locations that provide well-drained soils and full sun. Abelias do not like constantly soggy soil. Shearing one to two times a year will maintain a more dense plant. Cease pruning two months prior to the first typical frost date in your area.
One of the most attractive and tough plants in our gardens!
