More about Lo & Behold Purple Haze Butterfly Bush...

Noteworthy Characteristics

The Purple Haze was the second release in the exciting new Lo & Behold™ series of dwarf Butterfly Bushes. Unlike the larger growing Butterfly Bushes the Purple Haze is much stronger and requires less maintenance.  It's continuous purple flowers, that attract butterflies and hummingbirds, make this perennial shrub a must have for most every gardener!

Uses

Single specimen, groupings, flowering shrub borders, shrub borders, natural hedge, home foundation plantings, butterfly gardens, hummingbird gardens, wildlife gardens, asian theme gardens, cottage gardens and just about anywhere in the garden that gets 5-6 hours or more of direct sun per day.,

Culture & Care Tips

Like all Butterfly Bushes, Purple Haze thrives in full sunshine - the more the merrier! - and any well-drained soil. Water and feed it well the first year to get its root system established in your garden. Once  established it's quite forgiving of heat, humidity, poor soil, and even drought! And it needs no special care beyond a strong pruning in early spring -- cut it down to its original size in late February/Early March, and watch it return even more dense and floriferous than before!  Grows well in Zones 5-9.
