Farfugium Japonicum 'Crispata' is a moderate growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 7A through 10B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides shade, morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is moderately drained, moderately wet or consistently wet. In the summer Crispata Leopard Plant produces yellow, golden yellow and bright yellow flowers. The foliage is medium green and dark green in color. It attracts butterflies and visual attention and is resistant to deer, insects, diseases, mildew and heat.

Crispata Leopard Plant can be useful in the landscape around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, under a shade tree, as a lawn substitute, in landscape beds or islands or in small groupings and also in theme gardens, bog gardens, perennial gardens or shade gardens.
