Variegated Privet
Ligustrum sinensis 'Variegata'

Variegated Privet is an exceptionally fast-growing shrub that is very useful to create a quick hedge or screen. It can be left to grow naturally to 10 feet or so in height or responds very good to shearing for formal hedges that can be maintained at 5 feet or more in height. It can also be "limbed up" to form a very pretty small tree. Fragrant white flowers are produced in spring, however the real appeal to this plants appearance is the outstanding, light-yellow and green variegated foliage. Exceptionally easy to grow in most any well-drained soil. Very heat and drought tolerant, and resistant to pests and disease.

Variegated Privet is useful for formal or natural hedges and screens.As a small, multi-stemmed tree, Variegated Provet can be used as a focal point or free standing specimen in landscape beds or foundation plantings.
