Radicans Cryptomeria
Cryptomeria japonica 'Radicans'

Radicans is a tall growing, pyramidal form, Cryptomeria similar to 'Yoshino' Cryptomeria but with a bluish tint to the evergreen  foliage and a faster growth rate. Maybe that's why the breeder called it "Radicans"? Too, Radicans will not brown up us much as Yoshino during winter. Probably too tall to plant on the corners of homes (to 50 feet), but is excellent for use as a screen or buffer or individually as a stand alone evergreen specimen.
