Gulf Stream Nandina
Nandina domestica 'Gulf Stream'

Gulf Stream Nandina is a compact, dense, dwarf version of Bamboo Nandina that grows to about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. The shrub is bamboo-like in appearance with upright cane-like stems and finely-textured evergreen foliage that turns to a firey orange-red during winter. No berries are produced on this variety. Low maintenance and easy to grow. Nandinas do not like wet feet! Best color in full to mostly sun, however tolerates a good deal of shade.

Gulf Stream is useful as a low hedge, colorful accent plant, or to screen low air conditioning units or to accentuate entryways in foundation plantings. When planted in small to large groups in landscape beds, Gulf Stream provides very nice texture and color.
