Description
Instructions/Care
Fragrant Tea Olive
Osmanthus fragrans
The Fragrant Tea Olive is a large shrub or small evergreen tree that produces copious amounts of wonderfully fragran, tiny white flowers. One shrub will fill the backyard with a powerful and exquisite scent of perfume. The flowers are produced in both spring and fall whenever the temperatures are between 50 and 70 degrees, which means this plant has a very long blooming season in many regions where it will grow. Make sure to plant Tea Olives near windows and outdoor living areas where the fragrance can be enjoyed. Easy to grow in most any well-drained soil, in sun to partial shade.
Fragrant Tea Olive is useful in the landscape as a stand alone specimen tree or large shrub or as a mid-size hedge.
