Description Instructions/Care

Ever Red Sunset Loropetalum
Loropetalum chinensis var. rubrum 'Ever Red Sunset' (Chang Nian Hong)

Ever Red Sunset Loropetalum is the first loropetalum to produce true-red flowers. And they're not just red...they're RED HOT! The witch hazel-like, fringy flowers are produced in abundance during late winter and spring, and sporadically during summer and fall. The flowers contrast wonderfully with the deep burgundy-red foliage. The foliage holds its color throughout summer. An easy to grow, low maintenance shrub that performs well in most any well-drained soils in sun or part shade.

Ever Red Sunset is useful as a foundation plant, hedge, accent, or as a specimen in landscape beds and foundation plantings. Well drained soil is essential for all loropetalum.
