Eleanor Tabor Indian Hawthorne
Raphiolepis indica 'Eleanor Tabor'

Eleanor Tabor Indian Hawthorne is a great alternative for azaleas where there is too much sun. It is an exceptionally low-maintenance, drought and heat tolerant evergreen shrub that produces an abundance of pink flowers in spring. The dense, low and mounding form, and the hardiness, makes this shrub a perfect selection for foundation plantings or in sunny to partially shaded landscape beds and islands. Useful as a hedge or border, in small groups, or planted in mass. Works well on slopes and embankments to control erosion and stays low enough to use as an underplanting for small to mid-size trees. Very easy to grow in most types of soil provided they are well-drained. This plant does not like consistently wet soil.
